Our 2011 Toucan Wines Old Vine Carignane has been awarded a Gold medal from the Pacific Rim Wine Competition, a Gold medal from the Orange County Wine Competition and a Silver medal from the California State Wine Competition. The fruit that makes up our Carignane is grown in Contra Costa County by Frank Evangelho. This old vine vineyard was planted in 1890 and produces the best Carignane fruit I've tasted.
